So, I'm sitting here on this Monday. Work isn't that bad, my salad is pretty tasty, I finished yet another chapter for the first draft of book 7 in this series, and my first book signing is in a few weeks, yay. Things are moving right along so I should be pretty calm...and I am, however something is bugging the hell out of me. Have you ever been accused of doing something that is so far out of your character that it just pisses you all the way the f&%k off?....Well, that happened to me recently. Now I won't get into the details because the accusation is quite stupid to be honest. However, I know my heart and my intentions and for the most part they are always good. I am not perfect, far from it, but I try my best to be a good person and be genuine in all that I do. So when someone says something that makes it seem like I'm the opposite....it irks my face because that is not me......I hate stupid bullsh#t. It's just funny how something as simple as a gesture or sharing something can be perceived....Me being me, this won't hold my attention for much longer, lol. But it makes me wonder....how many other things have I done that have been taken all the way to left field?.....Oh well, you can't please everyone...and trust me when I say that I'm not trying to :-).
Now on a brighter note, as I mentioned above, my first book signing is in a few weeks! I'm so excited and I look forward to connecting face to face with my readers. I have gotten amazing compliments and feedback on my first book. This is truly a blessing and I am so humbled by it. Sharing something that I hold dear with the world is such a scary thing, but having it received in the way that I have always dreamed of, is amazing. Now don't get me wrong, I still have a long way to go before I am where I want to be as an well known author, and my babies (my book series) still have millions of people to reach :-). But I am loving the journey so far. #TeamIndieAuthor!!!!
If you are in the Philadelphia area on March 26th, come check me out at my signing! (details are on my Facebook page and on the home page of this website). Have a great day, don't let the small stuff hold you down, push forward and make your dreams happen. Back to this work and writing. Until next time :-) -J.B. Vample
